Ferry Corsten Gives A Mesmerizing Progressive Trance Remix to BLVD. and Laidback Luke’s “Cielo,”
Sometimes we find a track that we’re completely on board with initially, but then we fall for it, even more when it has been through a remix treatment. On our latest visit over to Purple Fly we are checking out “Cielo (Ferry Corsten Remix)”, the latest release from Ferry Corsten. For those of you who haven’t heard of Purple Fly, it is a brand new music label making a major splash in the current market. A completely independent imprint, Purple Fly embraces the current hype around NFTs in the cryptocurrency world with one goal in mind…support their artists. On a larger scale, Purple Fly aims to support collaborations of all forms of art, connecting music and stunning visuals for a truly immersive experience. The label will be dropping NFTs with each music drop, allowing direct support from fans for their favorite artists. Ferry Corsten joins the like of Felix Samuel, LODATO, & Quando, Behmer, BIGMOO, Victor Perry, Laidback Luke, BLVD., Fatman Scoop, Shaquille O’Neal, Sevenn, and more as part of the Purple Fly roster. With more and more talent joining their ranks, Purple Fly is going to be a major force to be reckoned with very soon.
When we first started covering the Purple Fly catalog last year, one of our first introductions to the label was “Cielo” in its original form by BLVD. and Laidback Luke. However, now a year later, the track can use an official remix to mix up the formula a bit. Kicking down doors with his signature Dutch house charm, Ferry Corsten completely grabs hold of the project and transforms it into a new amalgamation away from the dubstep roots and into a more friendly progressive house sound. With a veteran DJ like Ferry Corsten at the helm, who has been a major player in the game since 1999, the transformation is one that was not only unexpected but almost immediately rose to the top of our rotation. We were already low-key obsessed with “Cielo” the first time around, and Ferry Corsten is back to give the track a repeat performance.
