Acclaimed Australian Producer-Singer Pretty Girl Returns from a Year Away with “Body Step EP,” Released via Her Own Label earthside, Signs with Red Light Management

Pretty Girl is the project of Melbourne-born musician, DJ, producer, and vocalist Emilia Predebon, who has built a unique space within electronic music by blending Chicago house rhythms with dreamy progressive textures, trance-inspired lo-fi elements, UK garage influences, and her own introspective vocals. Across her three EPs—Middle Ground (2021), One Night, One Time (2023), and Get Back to Me (2024)—she has developed a sound that captures both the energy of the dancefloor and the quieter moments that come after. Her growing reputation has also led to major milestones, including a remix credit on Romy and Fred again..’s “Strong” and her own entry in the iconic Fabric Mix series.

What started in Melbourne’s underground scene has quickly evolved into an international career, with appearances at major festivals and venues such as All Points East, KOKO, Osheaga, Portola, Lost Village, Coachella, and Rock Herk. With a debut album currently in the works and a live show that transforms her atmospheric productions into something immersive and immediate, Pretty Girl is continuing to establish herself as one of the most exciting artists in modern electronic music.

I have always found something quite profound in dance music: how it makes us move, why it makes us move, and how that makes us feel. When I’m dancing I feel free, and I feel connected to something I can’t really explain. I think if everyone danced more, the world would be a better place. ‘Body Step‘ started in a studio in Tottenham last year with a Prophet-5. Then slowly, over a summer of dancing, the rest of the song came together, drawing on so many memories of dancefloors all over the world. I really just love dance music and I love to dance, and this song was made for exactly that.” – Pretty Girl about “Body Step” EP

A very important part of producing is knowing what you want, and when I found myself unable to answer that question I decided to go internal for 12 months. That time gave me freedom to go deeper with my sound and to really enjoy making music again, and I’m coming back with music that I feel so proud of, and music that makes sense to me right now.” – Pretty Girl about 1-year hiatus

Pretty Girl returns with her new Body Step EP, her first release after taking a deliberate year away from music. Made up of the house-driven tracks “Body Step” and “Satisfy,” both featuring her own vocals, the project reconnects with the sound she has spent years refining—blending club-ready energy with the more introspective atmosphere of the comedown. The title track began in a Tottenham studio and gradually came together over a summer spent on dancefloors around the world, drawing inspiration from those experiences and the emotional spaces in between.

The EP arrives amid a major run for the Melbourne-born artist, who has continued to build momentum since Resident Advisor labeled her “a star in the making” in 2023. Since then, Pretty Girl has played Coachella, gone viral through Boiler Room, toured with Bonobo, remixed Romy and Fred again.., and signed to Mall Grab’s Steel City Dance Discs. That rise has continued into 2026 with a 90-minute contribution to the prestigious RA Podcast series and a new management deal with Leon Alexander and Jamie Porten at Red Light Management.

Forthcoming shows:

Aug 07 – Krankbrother at Finsbury Park – London, UK
Aug 28 – Lost Village – Lincolnshire, UK
Aug 30 – Leeds Festival – Leeds, UK
