As the NFT space continues to grow, more and more applications are converting to an NFT-supported format. On our first visit over to Purple Fly we are checking out “Miami”, the latest single from BLVD. and Fatman Scoop. Determined to show listeners a grittier side of house music, BLVD is stepping onto the stage to make a major splash on the industry. While BLVD is relatively unknown by the general populace, he has already received support from Diplo & Friends, RL Grime, and Ekali just to name a few. If you ask us, we’d say that those are quality people to have in your corner as you make your way up the electronic ladder.
For those of you who haven’t heard of Purple Fly, it is a brand new music label making a major splash in the current market. A completely independent imprint, Purple Fly embraces the current hype around NFTs in the cryptocurrency world with one goal in mind…support their artists. On a larger scale, Purple Fly aims to support collaborations of all forms of art, connecting music and stunning visuals for a truly immersive experience. The label will be dropping NFTs with each music drop, allowing direct support from fans for their favorite artists.
“Miami is a city that means the world to me. Personally, I think it’s the greatest city in the world and it often deserves more credit than it gets. I teamed up with the legendary Fatman Scoop on this record and he truly brought the energy to a track already packed with surprises. What better weekend to release this track than Memorial Day Weekend? This one’s for the crib!” – BLVD.
These may be rather large shoes to fill, but BLVD. is completely ready to lead the charge of Purple Fly’s new initiative. Hard-hitting right out of the gate, “Miami” is an aggressive trap banger that has no problem getting directly in your face. While BLVD.’s production sets the tone and chaos from the first note, legendary rapper Fatman Scoop‘s rap verses absolutely increase the hype levels 10 fold. Thanks to BLVD.’s wide range of influences, the track fuses elements of trap, dubstep, reggaeton, and psytrance while letting the seasoned veteran Scoop works his magic on the mic. Fun fact, “Miami” is actually an ode to the city itself, being both BLVD. and Fatman Scoop’s favorite city and a major location for the growth of the electronic music world. Interested in buying the NFT for the track? The NFT will be dropping on June 4th over on Purple Fly’s website.
