Spanish Talent Low Blow Is Back With Protocol With Fresh Funky House Single “She’s Hot”
With many artists breathing new life into all kinds of classic sounds from the last 50 years, we’re always thrilled when an artist pushes the envelope a bit further. On our latest visit over at Protocol we are checking out “She’s Hot”, the latest single from Low Blow. Protocol has been on the front lines of discovering talented artists out of the weeds, each time incorporating that artist’s sound into their overal style. Today’s artist, Low Blow, is an energetic producing duo hailing out of Spain and bringing an almost neo style along with them. Primarily focusing on electro house originals and remixes, Low Blow has been incredibly busy over the last year making their mark in the EDM world. After a year of producing Low Blow caught the eye of TurnItUp Music and that put their music into a global rotation. The duo has gained plenty of recognition through official remixes of DANK & Lorensa‘s “One Life,” Sick Individuals & Justin Prime‘s “Guilty” feat. Nevve and Nicky Romero & Sick Individuals‘ “Only for You.”
When you’re involved in a large label like Protocol, it might be hard to rise to the forefront unless you tweak and build upon your formula. We see this with “She’s Hot”, the latest addition from Low Blow’s camp, as this could have been just another underground house or big room summer festival single. However, Low Blow’s spotlight on the funkier and more feel-good elements of the track got it front and center as a chill summer hit for the entire Protocol team. We love it when artists and producers tap into the funk and nu-disco era of music, giving us a refreshing and nostalgic banger to completely lose our inhibitions to during this summer. “She’s Hot” oozes sex appeal and summer sunshine fun, and that is exactly what we need in the music landscape right now. Let’s all just have a funky summer and come back to the real world in three months.
