It’s #newmusicfriday, which just means one thing. Heavyweight Records is back with yet another upcoming (cough) unique producer to share. This time we are checking out “Psychosis”, the debut single from Heavyweight’s upcoming producer Gommi. Not much is known about Gommi, as he has already begun creating an elusive persona among the electronic community. With Gommi originally being a nickname from his grandmother, Gommi has been tirelessly crafting his heavily-crafted rapid-fire style. While Gommi has already been receiving praise for his remixes, with “Psychosis” now released he has plenty of material for an interesting 2019. We’re waiting, Gommi.
Let’s take a quick trip to a subgenre we don’t visit too often, yet wish we do. With being our first trip into the world of psytrance in a long time, Gommi’s “Psychosis” has plenty of rapid-fire beats that are almost guaranteed to drive you insane. The track definitely makes us feel like we are taking a trance-fueled trip back into the recesses of our mind and completely losing it along the way. We have no doubt in our mind that we will be hearing “Psychosis” in underground clubs and the darker side of the modern electronic scene relatively soon.
Now, we are going to just let everyone know. If you become nauseous easily you may need to skip this music video. Let’s just say that the perplexing music video is a perfect fit for Gommi and his “Psychosis”
Make sure you check out “Psychosis” on Spotify and the ridiculously absurd music video below!
