Rising Bass Musician Star TVBOO Release Full-Length Mega Album “Blue Collar Bass”

When you become a rising star in your music scene, it feels like there are no limits on your creativity. On our latest visit to Wakaan we are checking out Blue Collar Bass, the latest drop from TVBOO. Hailing from Jackson, Mississippi, the creator of TVBOO Mitch Draper is quickly becoming one of the rising stars of the current bass music scene. With high-energy live sets a core concept of TVBOO’s methodology, it is no wonder that his success has been on an upward trajectory. Finding initial success on a handful of his earlier releases, TVBOO harnessed that earlier momentum and transformed it into both a co-headlining tour with DMVU, as well as the“Eat My Sass” Tour. If you are following .TVBOO only for his growing discography, you can’t skip out on Mitch’s podcast “TVLKS with TVBOO” for plenty of doses of hilarious conversation.

“With this album, I felt like I had to prove to myself and to everyone else that I was a serious producer. Most songs I’ve put out have been goofy, funny, and inappropriate. I love that, but I also wanted to show a more serious, mature side of me. I felt like with a full length album I had more freedom to make songs I normally wouldn’t put out as singles or EPs. It was my first time working with singers, musicians, and collaborating with multiple producers for one project. It was a lot of work, but was one of the most rewarding ventures I’ve ever had. This is for the people. This is Blue Collar Bass.” – TVBOO

When you dive into the world of bass music, there are a few different pathways you can take. When you enter such an experimental space like this one, you are not sure whether you are going to experience something in the vein of trap, dubstep, atmospheric bass, or ambient just to name a few, and  TVBOO hits every single one of these styles all throughout the album. While most releases in the bass music sector are singles or small thematic EPs that tell a story through sound design, TVBOO’s 15 track full-length album is an entirely different beast in itself. A true experimental playground for TVBOO, Blue Collar Bass is a pure showcase of what he has to offer as a producer and  exactly why he has the rising star attention that he deserves.
