Shoffy Reveals Stellar New Album “…Onward”, an Ode to His Latest Life Chapter in New York City

After years of developing a passionate fanbase and racking up millions of streams…the next big drop is here. On our latest peek into the indie world we are checking out …Onward, the latest drop from Shoffy. A versatile multi-instrumentalist in his own right, Shoffy is a refreshing newer addition to the New York indie scene. Focusing on blending electronics with feel-good pop, Shoffy has already started picking up speed and support from major tastemakers including The Fader, Billboard Magazine, Idolator, and Clash Magazine. Shoffy has also already charted on Billboard US Top 40 Radio as well as Spotify Viral charts, which led to headling two national tours. Yeah, Shoffy is already a bid deal and if you aren’t paying attention to this hybrid artist, you’re missing out.

“this album came together in the last several months. I wrote and produced it, and the music is a collection of my favorite genres, sounds, melodies, and lyrical themes. I recorded it in my home studio in LA, and have one collab with my friend Sidizen King. The cover is a photo I took in Yosemite, one of my favorite places. I go about once a year and walk or bike on that path. I made this album for all my fans out there who like my music, and made it for myself because I love to create, and put new songs out in the world. It’s a pretty cathartic and cool journey. The whole project is a collection of what I love both sonically and visually. I’m honored to have the opportunity to work with David Dutton on some of the visuals, he directed Nightmares In NYC and did all the incredible paintings along with his brother. I also can’t wait to go on tour again, see everyone in person, and play these songs live.” – Shoffy

After what feels like months of teasing, …Onward is finally out on the airwaves for the masses to ingest and enjoy. After covering Shoffy’s two previous singles “love ya” and “Nightmare in NYC”, we had high expectations going into the rest of …Onward, eagerly hoping that we would get that indie R&B feeling to cut through the rest of the noise. While the album was written as Shoffy’s ode/homage to New York City, the feelings he expresses throughout the project are universal and relate to us on an entirely different level. Filled to the brim with emotional lyrics and heart-wrenching vocal performances from Shoffy, it is truly difficult to pick a stand-out track from Onward, especially since we just want to have the album on repeat for the next few days. Listeners can feel and interpret just how much NYC meant to Shoffy, and how much leaving the city from something new is closing a door that has been open for a long time. However, in order to grow, you have to adapt and accept change, especially when you have to overcome obstacles in your path.
