Alright, after plenty of teasing the wait has finally ended…and PLVTINUM may have the current record for the longest title we’ve covered on Modern Neon. On our latest dive into the pop world we are checking out AN HONEST ACCOUNT OF THE MORE UNSAVORY ASPECTS OF MY BEING, the latest EP drop from PLVTINUM. Hailing out of New York, PLVTINUM is anything but your normal squeaky clean pop star. Determined to explore the darker sides of the human experience, PLVTINUM’s songs explore themes surrounding toxic relationships, sex, nihilism, ego, and party culture. PLVTINUM first broke out onto the scene back in 2016 with his viral mega-hit ” “Champagne & Sunshine,”, having consistently cultivated an audience ever since. Now with .3M Spotify monthly listeners, 86K Instagram followers, and 1B cumulative streams, it is pretty clear that PLVTINUM is far past the one-hit wonder status.

While we’ve been keeping an eye on the wide range of talents to come out of the modern pop world for some time now, PLVTINUM has already become a mainstay artist that tends to worm his way onto our playlists time and time again. Consisting of seven separate tracks, this EP is essentially a deep dive into the darker corners of PLVTINUM’s psyche via the vehicle that is modern pop music. While the teaser single “Stress Me Out” is still our favorite earworm, AN HONEST ACCOUNT OF THE MORE UNSAVORY ASPECTS OF MY BEING is definitely worth diving in and observing the adventure for yourself.
