pluko Blows Us Away With Second Album COLOR BLIND, Running the Gambit of EDM

We may have teased the album just a few weeks ago, but it is here and already more epic than we initially thought. This week we are hanging out with pluko and finally checking out his second official album COLOR BLIND. Hailing from Hallidaysburg, this Pennsylvanian native Sam Martinsen’s love for unique music has driven him to elevate pluko into the international project we know today. At a mere 19 years old, pluko has slotted and performed at major festivals such as Coachella, Firefly Festival, and HARD Summer, as well as racking up over 60 million streams across all platforms.  If you didn’t think this was enough, pluko also launched the record label, collective, and fashion brand Splendid Society. The brand will be releasing a limited run of COLOR BLIND merch along with the album release.

“My entire goal for COLOR BLIND was to write something that everyone can enjoy and listen to, even non-electronic fans. I tried to create a vibe that feels extremely fresh. Something that nobody has heard before.” – pluko

Now that we have been able to experience COLOR BLIND in its entirety, we have to applaud pluko for being the master of production that he proves to be. Running the gambit of electronic music, pluko uses COLOR BLIND to push the traditional genre boundaries in place to craft a unique song different from anything we’ve heard before. Never have we been made so uncomfortable by something we love, like how we feel after listening to our favorite tracks off the album “rainbow” and “your skin”. pluko even enlisted a few talented artists to feature throughout the album, including the likes of Nate Traveller and Cassette Tapes. With pluko as the main creative visionary behind the project, he even hid little tidbits and secrets within the tracks themselves! Do you think you can find them all? Let us know!

As a bonus, pluko dropped an entire visual movie to put each track on a more attractive visual display. The video is enticing, chaotic, and yet calming at the same time, letting exist in a complicated space for 45 minutes. However, if you have any light sensitivity like epilepsy, do not watch it.

1. go
2. blessings (ft. Nate Traveller)
3. rainbow
4. your skin
5. the lovely one
6. seventeen
7. isittoogoodtobetrue?
8. used to (with Cassette Tapes)
9. next to u
10. reality distortion
11. higher (with Panama)
12. where u been (with ilo ilo)
13. i hope it’s not goodbye
