DJ SODA, Lost Chameleon + AHIN of MOMOLAND Join Purple Fly With Bubblegum Electropop “OKAY!”
We have an interesting one today folks, this label is quickly building up a diverse roster. On our latest visit over to Purple Fly, we are checking out “Okay!” from DJ SODA, Lost Chameleon, and AHIN from MOMOLAND. All three of these artists are incredibly talented in their own right and honestly each deserves their own deep dive. DJ SODA is not only a skilled DJ/producer but a huge fashion icon, nailing her partnerships with DIOR, GUESS, K-Swiss, New Balance, and Nike just to name a few. AHIN made their debut on the reality TV show “Finding MOMOLAND”, snagging a spot in the six-person project and releasing their mini-album “Welcome to MOMOLAND”. On the flip side, Lost Chameleon is bridging the gap between electronic dance music and anime culture with having a CGI character in the K-Pop scene.
For those of you who haven’t heard of Purple Fly, it is a brand new music label making a major splash in the current market. A completely independent imprint, Purple Fly embraces the current hype around NFTs in the cryptocurrency world with one goal in mind…support their artists. On a larger scale, Purple Fly aims to support collaborations of all forms of art, connecting music and stunning visuals for a truly immersive experience. The label will be dropping NFTs with each music drop, allowing direct support from fans for their favorite artists. Y This time Purple Fly introduces three more artists into the fold, DJ SODA, Lost Chameleon, and AHIN of MOMOLAND, and they join Behmer, Reverse Prime, Laidback Luke, BLVD., Fatman Scoop, Shaquille O’Neal, Sevenn, and more as part of the Purple Fly roster.
First off, we have to mention that while we had our own vision of how this song would sound when it reached our inbox, but when it came to this article’s publication we were pleasantly surprised. A modern-day fusion of K-pop and EDM, “OKAY!” is a surprisingly catchy bop that is rather accessible for new fans of either genre. AHIN’s vocal performance first perfectly within this electronic world that DJ SODA and LOST CHAMELEON created, portraying a level of innocence before the electric chaos erupts. DJ SODA’s production skills are on point, with her usage of uplifting melodies, driving basslines, and water sound effects creating an almost bubblegum electropop tone to the overall track. We don’t look into the world of K-pop that often, but if you find any other gems like this one, send them our way!
