Bay Area Rocker Andrew Thomases Takes A Stroll Down Memory Lane in “Back At My Life”
Taking a walk down memory lane using music as your vehicle is the perfect method for an artist to look back. On our latest look into the indie rock world we are checking out “Back At My Life”, the latest drop from Andrew Thomases. Thomases grew up in New York City and watched as his father pursued his passion for bass guitar. Finally picking up his own guitar at the age of 12, Thomases would go on to play in multiple cover bands and perform as a DJ up until after college, when he decided to move across the country to San Francisco. Throughout the move and ever since, Thomases developed a version of “conscious rock”, where he created music that inspired his move, life experiences, and his outlook on the role of a person/human in society and the world. After spending much time in development, Thomases has written 10 fantastic tracks that explore a wide range of socially charged themes and is finally ready to show them to the rest of the world.
“At this point in my life, I have come to question whether I have done everything right. Could I have done better? Have I achieved my dreams? Do I have any regrets? I think we are all hit with these questions at some point in our lives, and ‘Back At My Life’ reflects the fact that it is ok to ponder this topic.” – Andrew Thomases
“Back At My Life” is a remarkable composition that delves deep into the introspective journey of Andrew Thomases, inviting listeners to join him in reflecting on the pivotal moments that have shaped his present. The track serves as a poignant reminder for individuals to engage in their own self-reflection, encouraging them to pause, assess, and appreciate the paths they have traversed. Andrew’s artistic vision shines through in the way he combines elements of classic rock reminiscent of the 1970s, creating a captivating soundscape that transports listeners to a nostalgic era. The foundation of the song is built upon the mellow and soothing acoustic guitar progressions, which provide a laid-back atmosphere that perfectly complements the contemplative nature of the lyrics. The piano lines add an additional layer of thoughtfulness, evoking a sense of introspection and emotional depth. Furthermore, Andrew’s meticulous placement of electric guitar flares enhances the composition, injecting moments of intensity and passion that accentuate his insightful and expressive vocal performance. By placing his vocals at the forefront of the track, Andrew ensures that his introspective message remains the focal point, allowing listeners to connect with his story on a profound level.
