As what seems like the growing trend of this week, Smoothe Hours was formed all the back in 2018 by high school friends Shawn Dawn and Ty Dawn, While you can strike out on your own accord and make it work, networking in the music world is essential to moving up the ladder. Each having their own distinctly different creative styles and artistic visions, both musicians decided to unite under one unified name…Smoothe Hours.
Where exactly does Smoothe Hours land on the musical spectrum you ask? The duo features a clear and distinctive Rnb and trap music blend, taking the highlights of both genres and smashing them in a blender. Fascinated with the more questionable choices people make in the dark, Smoothe Hours uses their music to explore such events that others may not want to talk about “Red Room” explores the more serious aspects of love, creating passion and intimacy…in order to receive an invite to the “Red Room”. While Smoothe Hours may not have many tracks under their belt yet, the duo is quickly on their way to making their sound known.
