ROSIE Peels Back Layers of Insecurities In New Honest Love Ballad “Something I Hate”
We’ve been swimming in the electric and alternative pools for quite some time now, but we need to wade back into the love ballad pond just for a minute. On our latest peek into the indie world we are checking out “Something I Hate”, the latest drop from ROSIE. While she might still be quite fresh under the ears, ROSIE is already on track to captivate millions with her songwriting. Originally seeking for a safe place online for her and her music, ROSIE was able to grow a rabid fanbase and captivate many listeners who simply took a chance on her “no filter, no bullshit” attitude. Now a philanthropist, environmentalist, and mental health advocate ROSIE has already found her home on the Internet, a niche where she can express her feelings and blossom as an artist. A classical violinist, guitarist, vocal producer, songwriter, and now major label recording artist via Arista Records, ROSIE is going to be a major force in the dreamy pop world very soon.

While we have started to drift away from the honest artist with a guitar format on our indie dives, it is still refreshing to step back into the light from time to time. The latest drop to come out of ROSIE’s camp, “Something I Hate” is a different but interesting approach to a traditional love ballad, or better yet, a love ballad for the modern age. While the single does have all of the elements of an ode to a current or previous lover, ROSIE takes the stage and instead uses the track to tell a story about overcoming your own personal insecurities. “Something I Hate” peels back a few layers of protection that ROSIE and others like her have built up, allowing her supportive fanbase to understand and relate to ROSIE even more. Even after coming off the high that was her debut EP last fall and a welcomed amount of success, ROSIE still grips onto her tentpoles. No fluff, no filter, this is pure ROSIE.
