If you are into music discovery, then you know that once you peel back one layer of a genre that are plenty of talented artists waiting just underneath. On today’s dive into the indie world we are checking out “Sides”, the official debut single of Juno Uno. Created by Texas native John Andrew Stallings, Juno Uno began his music journey just like many aspiring musicians, with just an acoustic guitar. However he quickly expanded his scope once that interest in music was sparked, even moving to Austin, TX to explore his initial inklings. Inspired by the ideas surrounding mysticism and spirituality, Juno left Austin and toured the country before returning to his hometown to open up his own studio. Now with all of the tools at his disposal, Juno threw himself into his writing and recording, determined to make his official debut on the music stage.
Well, that day has officially come. Juno Uno brings with him today his first single “Sides”, making his official debut for the Juno Uno project. Inspired by poetry, modern psychedelic culture, and lyricism, Juno Uno uses “Sides” to showcase his signature sound to those willing to give it a listen. Utilizing key elements of 1980s synthpop as a backdrop, his style blends synth and psychedelic grooves with raw and emotional lyrics that were carefully crafted to start a conversation. Through the track we are able to sneak a peek at the inner workings of Juno’s methodology and which path he wants to take as he further develops his style. Juno Uno may still be incredibly fresh to the modern synthpop and psychedelic world, but he is definitely an artist that we need to keep an eye on.
