J.MYSTERY introduces his upcoming EP, LOVE AWAY MY PAIN, with the emotionally charged new single “Drifting Away,” a poignant exploration of love, vulnerability, and the painful distance that can develop between two people despite their enduring connection. Produced by Francisco Reis, the track captures the heartbreak of watching someone you love slowly slip away, not because the feelings have faded, but because unfulfilled dreams, emotional exhaustion, and life’s unexpected challenges have begun to pull them apart. At its core, the song explores the quiet sacrifices made in relationships, particularly the struggle of carrying someone else’s pain while hiding your own. The lyric “I feel your pain and hide away my own” introduces one of the EP’s central themes, while the recurring plea “Take me by the hand” becomes a powerful promise to face hardship together, hold on through uncertainty, and find a way back to each other.
