Producer Newcomer Highup Joins Australia’s #1 Female DJ Tigerlily For Sultry Bounce Single “Lollipop”
We don’t feature enough Australian artists here on Modern Neon…so why don’t we change that? On our first visit over to Generation-HEX we are checking out “Lollipop”, the newest single from Highup and Tigerlily. Even though Highup is still incredibly new to the electronic music scene, his initial splash has been anything but small. Highup has already dropped releases on Sony, Musical Freedom, Revealed, Smash The House and more. He has also already received support from powerhouses like Tiesto, Hardwell, Afrojack, R3HAB, Dimitri Vegas & Like Mike, just to name a few. On the other hand, Tigerlily achieved plenty of recognition early on in her career, achieving the #1 female DJ in Australia for three years running. She has performed and esteemed clubs across the globe, including Las Vegas‘ Hakkasan and LA‘s Create Nightclub to Seoul‘s Club Octagon and Washington D.C‘s Echostage. Her talents aren’t just limited to the club scene, as pre-pandemic Tigerlily puts on electrifying performances at iconic festivals such as Lollapalooza, Ultra Music Festival, and Tomorrowland. You simply can’t stop her, as on the business side she is a brand ambassador for JBL, Samsung, and Tropeaka!
Even though Highup might be new to the scene when you have a talented artist like Tigerlily in your corner you have all the tools you need to craft a banger. Highup doesn’t hesitate for even a moment, making it clear that “Lollipop” is a bouncy dance floor gem right out of the gate. Utilizing his skill set in crafting electro-house beats, Highup created an addictively groovy bassline to serve as the framework for Tigerlily to extend her time in the light. She pushes her way into the track, bringing a sultry performance that immediately syncs up with Highup’s beats, mixing their strengths to push past any errors found along the way. This is the first time that Highup and Tigerlily collaborated, and we were glad that Don Diablo’s Generation-HEX could make it happen. We will definitely have to keep our eye on Highup as he finds his foothold in today’s house music scene.
