Nicky Romero and Third Party Join Forces for Their Highly Anticipated and Hard-Hitting House Single “For The People”
While there is always a heavy dose of hype around any one of Romero’s releases, since he reoriented to his club-focused sound that hype has only grown. On our latest visit over to Protocol we are checking out “For The People”, the latest release from Nicky Romero and Third Party. Romero is one of the modern producers to change and mold today’s electronic music scene how he sees fit. Not only has he founded one of the most prolific modern electronic music movements, but he is also constantly on DJ Mag’s Top 100 list year after year and has attributed heavily to the global spread of electronic music. Romero continues to surprise us, even dropping a mini-doc series back in 2019 and multiple successful releases now that he’s back on the wagon. Hell, he even put on one hell of a performance at the London opening of the Call of Duty League eSports tournament. Romero’s list of accomplishments keeps growing, now including a brand new partnership with Fader Pro and a release of his own NFT collection!
We feel like this single has been out and thriving in our internal playlists for so long that we forgot until our Friday morning meeting that this track isn’t even out yet. Perhaps his most club-centric single all year, “For The People” is an absolute banger of a tech house single that leaves plenty of space for both of their dynamic sounds to billow and burst around their consistent vocal hook. A high-energy trip through an array of driving beats and hard-hitting basslines, “For The People” is definitely the single to look to if you want confirmation that Romero can not only make music for the festival stage, but the late nights in the club as well. Hell, most of his club tracks could still thrive and run wild on the festival circuit thanks to his lengthy career of making fire progressive house singles. “For The People” has already exploded onto the main stage, especially after both .Romero and Third Party debuted it at Tomorrowland and even more after it was used in the namesake of the “Ultra Miami 2022 – For The People” official aftermovie.
