Montreal Ska-Punk Lifers K-Man & The 45s Announce New LP With “We Won’t Stop”
Montreal ska-punk veterans K-Man & The 45s return with “We Won’t Stop,” the first single from their forthcoming album, Heed The Call, arriving October 9. For more than a decade, the band has built its reputation through relentless touring across Canada, the US, and Europe, cultivating a loyal following one sweaty club and late-night show at a time. Rooted in two-tone and classic ska but driven by the heavier urgency of rock and punk, their sound reflects both their road-tested mentality and the restless energy of their Montreal home base. “We Won’t Stop” channels that history into a defiant celebration of persistence, community, and the determination to keep moving forward.
Heed The Call promises to be the band’s hardest-hitting and most live-sounding record yet, retaining the chaotic, celebratory spirit of their earlier work while digging deeper into the tension beneath the surface. Rather than reinventing themselves, K-Man & The 45s are sharpening everything they’ve spent years building, delivering a record rooted in movement, connection, and the raw energy of a band that has no intention of slowing down.
Just dropping today alongside a new music video and the launch of the album presale, K-Man & The 45s’ “We Won’t Stop” combines two-tone ska, punk urgency, and rock and roll grit with the rebellious spirit of The Clash, The Specials, and Mad Caddies. Built around a chant-ready hook and an unapologetically blunt message, the track channels frustration with leadership and the status quo into something immediate and communal. Recorded and mixed by Ryan Battistuzzi at Le Stuzzio in Montreal, the single captures the road-tested band at full force, with driving horns, punchy rhythms, and explosive energy designed to translate directly from the studio to a packed club or festival crowd.
“We Won’t Stop” also introduces the sharper direction of the band’s forthcoming album, Heed The Call, arriving October 9. Described as their most live-sounding and hard-hitting record yet, the album maintains the chaotic, celebratory energy that has long defined K-Man & The 45s while digging deeper into the frustration and tension beneath it. The result promises a more pointed evolution of their ska-punk sound without sacrificing the raw energy, movement, and sense of community at its core.
