Behmer, Reverse Prime, and Starjack Join Purple Fly’s NFT-Fueled Roster With Fusion Single “Fake People”

While we keep thinking that there can only be so much talent under one roof, Purple Fly continues to change our minds. On our latest visit over to Purple Fly we are checking out “Fake People”, the latest from Behmer, Reverse Prime, and Starjack.  For those of you who haven’t heard of Purple Fly, it is a brand new music label making a major splash in the current market. A completely independent imprint, Purple Fly embraces the current hype around NFTs in the cryptocurrency world with one goal in mind…support their artists. On a larger scale, Purple Fly aims to support collaborations of all forms of art, connecting music and stunning visuals for a truly immersive experience. The label will be dropping NFTs with each music drop, allowing direct support from fans for their favorite artists. BehmerReverse Prime and Starjack join Laidback LukeBLVD.Fatman ScoopShaquille O’NealSevenn, and more as part of the Purple Fly roster. With more and more talent joining their ranks, Purple Fly is going to be a major force to be reckoned with very soon.

Fake People‘ is about the process of making your own music without caring about the money and what other people might think of it. Music should be a way of expressing your emotions through the creative process that is music production, and ‘Fake People‘ perfectly expresses this.” – Behmer

Once a handful of skilled producers join a label, you start to see a pattern within the style of music that the roster starts to generate…at least normally. What makes Purple Fly interesting is that it feels like they are actively pushing against that phenomenon, as with the recruitment of Behmer, Reverse Prime, and Starjack throw a bit more variety in the mix. “Fake People” is a unique blend of Behmer’s more well-known Swedish electronic beats and Reverse Prime’s Eastern experimental approach to EDM, clashing and melding together into one cohesive single. While the track is a bit hard to describe or fit into a specific box, it’s clear that Behmer and Reverse Prime’s combined skills result in a groovy slowed-down bassline and jazzy instrumentals that make for an intriguing sound. Of course, while the instrumentals and production are a true bop, Starjack’s vocal performance adds a breathy/lively top layer that brings the song to a whole.
