Westwood recording artists K Theory team w/ Mr. Rayger/Denham on anthemic single “Numb and Cold”
While the Bay Area may have been known as the breeding ground of thrash metal, as time passes the modern-day sound might be quite a tad different. On our latest dive into the local scene, we are checking out “Numb & Cold”, the latest drop from K Theory. Founded in Berkeley, CA by Dustin Musser and Dylan Lewman., K Theory has become known as the major pioneer of the most recent wave of glitch-hop. With over 300 individual releases in their catalog and releases on Atlantic Records, Warner Music Group, Universal, Ultra, Big Beat, Buygore, Owsla, 300 Entertainment, Think Its A Game Records, Empire, Dim Mak, Westwood Recordings & Simplify, it is quite difficult to argue that title. A triple threat in terms of DJ, production, and remixes, K Theory has led some of the most prestigious festivals including Red Rocks, Coachella, and Electric Forest. With over 1 billion overall plays across streaming platforms, K Theory is ready to drop their first single of 2023.
While we are not entirely familiar with the world of glitch-hop, yet we often trip on our way somewhere else and fall into the glitchy pool head first. Fresh off the heels of a chaotic 2022, K Theory is back primed and ready to re-introduce an entirely new group of listeners to the next chapter in the K Theory timeline. Recruiting Mr. Rayger and Denham to join in on the production, utilizing their triple threat power to create an alluring single embracing healing and passion. While cinematic soundscapes and stabbing bass from K Theory and Mr. Rayger make the production exciting, Denham’s powerful vocal performance rises above the audible world and takes center stage.
