DVBBS and Wiz Khalifa Join Forces on Soon-To-Be-Viral Single “SH SH SH (Hit That)” with urfavexboyfriend and Goldsoul.
Sometimes we just need to be hit with a curveball from a familiar duo to spice things up and throw a bit of variety into the mix. On our latest visit over to Ultra Records we are checking ou “SH SH SH”, the latest drop from DVBBS and Wiz Khalifa. Since we started covering DVBBS back in 2017, they have had multiple successes and expanded their musical footprint on a global scale. This Canadian duo has since massively expanded their catalog, even earning a few platinum tracks along the way. DVBBS has even reached over one billion streams online, further expanding their reach in the global music scene. DVBBS has been honing their highly energetic live performances, even launching a monumental 2019 tour schedule with 250 tour dates. We definitely need to make sure DVBBS is in our continuous rotation.
As one of our most entertaining duos to feature for the last few years, DVBBS is back and in quite a different form than the last time they showed up in our inbox. Further pushing the narrative of how TikTok continues to influence modern music, “SH SH SH: (Hit That)” includes a sample of urfavxboyfriend & Goldsoul’s viral hit “SH SH SH” that DVBBS stumbled upon one evening. Tiptoeing between the worlds of bass music and hip hop, this track is a rather interesting departure for DVBBS, but we definitely are not disappointed. While “SH SH SH (Hit That)” is a n experimental playground for DVBBS, Wiz’s signature aggressive rap style and flow ground the track in some realm of familiarity for fans of everyone involved in the project. We’re excited to see just how much this track lights up TikTok, and we hope this isn’t the stop of the experimental train for DVBBS.
