When you’ve released as many singles on the same label as today’s artist, you might just have that label’s lifeblood running through your veins. On our latest visit to Protocol we are checking out “Come Back Again”, the latest drop from Almero. While Almero is still rather new to the Protocol he has already been making waves within the Protocol community. Almero’s debut single “They Don’t Know” with CAMARDA was featured on the Protocol Grooves EP, as well as having a featured track on Protocol Lab – ADE 2020. He’s also dropped additional releases on Revealed Recordings and Universal, and has earned support from Hardwell, Sander van Doorn, and Nicky Romero to name a few. Almero continues to drop numerous fun dancefloor singles with Protocol, so we think that he may have finally found his home label.
After covering the comings and goings of many artists and producers through Protocol’s lineup, there are always the cornerstone artists the remain to keep the wheels moving. With over ten releases at Protocol alone, Almero has become one of our go-to Protocol veterans for classic progressive and big room house. Coming hot off the heels of working alongside Protocol’s label boss Nicky Romero, Almero has “Come Back Again” with a brand new paino-led single. Almero catches our attention early on with a quick vocal hook and emotive lyrics, thus opening the floodgates and letting loose all of the track’s positive vibes. Uplifting and groovy, this latest single is a tried and true progressive house track and features all of the fixings that would make it right at home within Protocol’s bread and butter.
