The Moment is Here. Neon Tiger’s Debut Album “Paperback Sunset”
Alright Neon Tiger, your moment is here. After his first two singles “Neon Rose” and “Summer“, Neon Tiger is back on MiR with the release of his first album Paperback Sunset. While you may not recognize the name just yet, the man behind the pseudonym is also known as Maarcos and was a member of Those Usual Suspects. Neon Tiger was created so that he could experiment a bit more with his style and songwriting. Not only is Neon Tiger a bit of new age, but even revives classic sounds with modern technology.
Now comes the important question…how is Paperback Sunset? Well friends, the album is a delicious fusion of vintage and modern sounds that only Neon Tiger could accomplish. While our personal favorites are still “Neon Rose” and “Summer”, they only top an album with other standout tracks. There is the chill and bass heavy track “Painting the Sidewalks” that was a result from Neon Tiger and Monstercat’s Colordrive collaborating. Don’t forget the ethereal and quite emotive “Departure”, which included additional elements from vocalist Sunsun and Grammy-winning writer Damon Sharpe. There are plenty of pluses hidden in this track, just be sure to listen to it for yourself to find them all.
