Cade Hoppe Releases New Fragile and Introspective Alt-Pop Single “Morphine”

There are just moments in your career when you find you have to truly bare your soul in order to continue climbing up the ladder. On our latest peek into the indie world we are checking out “Morphine”, the latest single from Cade Hoppe. Originally hailing from Sacramento, CA, Cade jumped all the way to the other side of the country to pursue his career as a creative and musician. While he originally traveled to New York in pursuit of academic and athletic opportunities, 2020 shined a new light on his true passion. Cade had been writing songs and playing piano, guitar, bass and saxophone since childhood, so he naturally pivoted into writing and releasing his own tracks. After a few experiments, Cade connected with Harper James of Eighty Ninety and began working with him as his core producer. This led to Cade’s debut EP Tell Me How It’s Worth It dropping in late 2021, catapulting Cade Hoppe into the next stage of his career.

“I think your life experiences can either make you the person you always feared you’d become or the person you always hoped you’d become,” Cade expands. “By putting this song out, I hope I’m one step closer to the latter.” – Cade Hoppe

Alright, we have to get something off our chest…we’ve been meaning to jump on the Cade Hoppe fan base for more than a hot minute. We’ve been intrigued by his trajectory as an indie-pop singer but just couldn’t find the right time to jump on in…until now. “Morphine” is perhaps Cade’s most vulnerable song yet, as “Morphine” explores those feelings that bubble just under the surface when life expectations become just a bit too hard to handle. Cade’s signature baritone vocal performance gives the listener an almost warm and comfortable feeling, as if we just want to curl up next to Cade and experience the moment side by side. “Morphine” uniquely shows just how fragile humans are when it comes to bearing the brunt of society’s expectations and we can’t find a song that relate more to after the last two years. You’ve hit us in the feels Cade and that doesn’t happen to cold bastards like us very often.
