Alright, we had a quick break from Buku and are reconnecting in just the right amount of time. This rising bass head star is back with “Align”, yet another bass heavy track that will soon make its way into Buku’s repertoire. Buku has been slowly becoming acquainted with the modern audience, having received praise from legendary producer Bassnectar and moderate success from previous releases. This has also allowed him to travel all around the world, with just coming off an Australian tour and moving along to a North American tour through July. Make sure you catch Buku this summer at both Sunset Music Festival and Something Wonderful.
As for “Align”, it seems that the stars have aligned in Buku’s favor. “Align” is only the second recent release to feature Buku’s own vocal work and when combined with the driving bass line and distorted synths it becomes an absolute dance floor smasher. After spending plenty of time in the studio, Buku was able to use modern technology to completely transform his own voice into that of a mystical siren. These vocals add a rather intriguing ethereal layer to the track, elevating it yet another time.
“With “Align,” I set out to create a tune with a trance-anthem type atmosphere. I had so much fun with creating the “Front to Back” vocals, that I decided to incorporate the same studio techniques/tricks on my own voice. Not only is it super fun and strange to execute, I think I created a tune that you can throw your hands up and belt out at the rave.” – Buku
