Plastic Rhino is an electrifying Alternative Rock duo from Los Angeles, formed in 2013 by Atara Glazer (vocals) and Jack Glazer (guitar, bass, producer). United by love and a shared passion for hard-hitting rock music, the couple has carved out a bold, genre-defying sound that blends elements of alternative, hard rock, and cinematic flair. Their music explores themes like love, betrayal, empowerment, women’s rights, and horror, with each track delivering raw emotion and fearless experimentation. Their track “Another Try” earned a 2023 HIMA nomination for Best Metal/Rock Song, while their visually striking music videos have won awards and appeared in film festivals worldwide. Plastic Rhino’s latest single, “TAKEITALL,” is a dark, genre-blending track that tells a true story of love spiraling into obsession. Atara Glazer describes it as “a relationship turning bad and almost… deadly,” highlighting the fragile line between devotion and danger. The song explores how passion can twist into stalking and threats, capturing the emotional unraveling through intense lyrics and haunting vocals.
Sonically, “TAKEITALL” pushes the band into bold new territory, fusing their gritty industrial hard rock foundation with elements of dubstep and EDM. Produced by Tom Chandler and Ron Geffen, the track draws comparisons to genre-benders like Bad Omens, Poppy, and Bring Me The Horizon. Accompanying the release is a surreal and hilarious 80s-inspired Jazzercise music video, inspired by the song’s BPM matching vintage workout routines. With retro costumes and a VHS-style aesthetic, the video adds a playful contrast to the song’s darker themes, showcasing the duo’s signature blend of emotional depth and creative flair.
