SLANDER & Crankdat Break Barriers on "Kneel Before Me", New track Ft. Asking Alexandria?
We are almost 100% sure that we have gone through at least our solid SLANDER puns already. We have a bit to cover, as kicking off our weekend we have “Kneel Before Me”, a new genre-breaking track from MiR favorites SLANDER as well as Crankdat and…Asking Alexandria? SLANDER has been very busy since bursting onto the scene in 2014 (with their ever-popular Showtek remix), but throughout 2017 and 18 we are expected to see numerous original productions and a further grounding of their “heaven trap” style. With multiple original releases under their belt in the last few months, there is no way we can stop the SLANDER now, especially since they have extra ammunition in their corner. This time they brought along up and coming producer Crankdat, who has found recent success and is quietly becoming a household name. Not to mention the fact this time they teamed up with the already mega-successful metal band Asking Alexandria to break the norms and rules of electronic music.
There is a level of genre and quality that we have come to expect from SLANDER, yet somehow they keep surprising us. SLANDER decide to take a trip to the relative unknown, pairing up with Asking Alexandria to craft a world that feels straight out of the Amazon, only if the Amazon was engulfed in flames. The combination of SLANDER and Crankdat’s production and use of animal sounds paired with the pure angst of the vocal work from Asking Alexandria will generate not just dance floor appeal but to the open-minded rockers of the world. We have quickly adjusted to the style of music that the duo releases, so what a pleasant surprise to see that SLANDER still have a few tricks up their sleeves.
“This kind of music is in our core and is where a lot of our other tastes developed from, so if you can imagine how thrilled we were when Asking Alexandria agreed to be a part of our new song with Crankdat!” the duo said. “Our goal with this song was to make our own rendition of hardcore music with dubstep at its core, essentially bringing our musical roots into 2018!
