Singer Songwriter Bailey Baum Drops Final Tease of Debut EP, Emotional Pop Single “Bad For Me”

Sometimes the most eloquently written songs are created out of a breakup and heartbreak (just ask Taylor Swift). On our latest dive into the indie world we are checking out “Bad For Me”, the newest single from Bailey Baum. Originally raised in Dallas but now based in Los Angeles, Bailey captures the idea and emotions behind being a woman in her mid 20’s navigating through life. Having spent the last few years perfecting her approach to pop music as an artist, Bailey creates realistic and anything but predictable songs that explore concepts around heartbreak and changes including everything in between. With a few releases under her belt already she has already amassed over 7 million streams and have landed on top-tier editorial playlists such as Spotify’s ‘Fresh Finds,’ ‘Indie Pop,’ and ‘Chill Vibes,’ and Apple Music’s ‘Feels.’

I wrote this in 2020 with some incredible songwriters [Cameron Mitchell & Emily Fullerton] during the process of healing from a heartbreak. I wanted to fall back into the person because I missed them but I knew doing that was bad for me, which inspired the song.” – Bailey Baum

When you strip back the grand productions and just let the emotions flow out of your music is where you truly find our wavelength. Written during the many months of quarantine, “Bad For Me” overwhelms the listener with hightened emotional pop that slots right in with any emotive track written throughout 2020. While Bailey’s soulful vocal performance takes the reins and runs, she blends intimate pop melodies to spice things up while letting the more charge elements thrive on the surface. “Bad For Me” is actually Bailey’s third single off her debut EP, with each track explore a different feeling and emotion. If you haven’t had enough Bailey Baum yet, stay tuned for her debut EP Over It when it drops in full on July 30th!
