While he has been a bit quiet on the new releases front in comparison to his absolute tear release schedule in 2022, we know if there is a R3HAB collab we have to jump right on it. On our latest visit over to Rave Culture we are checking out “Million Places”, the latest drop from R3HAB and W&W. R3HAB has toured some of the best clubs in the world and amassed more than 300 million streams of his debut album. What is actually amazing however is that R3HAB was able to accomplish this with no major label backing, only working through his CYB3RPVNK imprint. Through his expanded efforts to increase CYB3RPVNK’s roster, R3HAB has been recruiting a fantastic variety of up-and-comers to provide a major range of music to his audience. With R3HAB consistently popping up on our radar, we have absolutely no idea what he is going to do next and can’t wait.
“After months of testing and finessing, Willem, Ward, and I are excited to officially release ‘Million Places.’ It was inspiring to premiere this record at Tomorrowland Winter during our b2b set, and we agreed the record was ready to release after the great response at Tomorrowland Mainstage last month. It’s our fourth and most anticipated collab, and I think our work keeps getting better.” – R3HAB
“Loved working on this one with R3HAB, the vocals instantly hit us, and it’s goosebumps every time we play it.” – W&W
The collaborative efforts of renowned producers R3HAB and W&W culminated in the creation of the captivating track titled “Million Places.” This musical masterpiece seamlessly combines the talents of these artists to produce a pulsating big-room anthem that harkens back to the euphoric vibes of the 1990s. The song’s inception is marked by the entrance of glittering, digitized vocals that immediately draw the listener in. However, the Dutch duo swiftly takes the composition to a whole new level by introducing a commanding, driving bassline that intertwines flawlessly with a dominant synth, adding an electrifying intensity to the piece.
While the lyrics exude an uplifting aura that perfectly complements shared moments with a significant other, the brisk tempo of “Million Places” makes it clear that this sonic journey is not for the faint of heart. The track’s sonic structure, characterized by its undulating bassline, expansive synths, and ethereal vocals, pays homage to the revitalized sound that is currently experiencing a resurgence. This sonic resurgence serves as a nod to influential artists like Vengaboys, Alice Deejay, and Culture Beat, who left an indelible mark on the music landscape of their time.
