Psych-Rock Art Project Silver Relics Tease Reborn Sound In New Addictive Single “Tails”
The more we dive into the growing world of psych-rock, the more we are seeing just how limitless the boundaries are for creativity. On our latest peek into the psych-rock world we are checking out “Tails”, the latest single from Silver Relics. Founded back in 2017 by musician Alex Sepassi, Silver Relics has become a full-on art project that combines modern electronics with the best of classic rock to create their signature psych-rock sound. Sepassi began his musical career when he was 10, quickly becoming a prolific songwriter, vocalist, and performer by his late teens. Combining his love of the 1960s and 70s British songwriters and the psionic psychedelic technicolor nature of the 80s, Sepassi and Silver Relics would evolve their creative process and release their debut album in 2019. The album Generic gained plenty of buzz in the US and Europe, announcing Silver Relics as a premier art collective to watch on a global scale. Now taking the last year as a period of rebirth, Silver Relics are back to showcase their refined style with the first single off of their sophomore album!
We thoroughly enjoy when we catch a band or group that is in an essential “rebirth” phase of their career (typically between the first two albums), as these moments are where we see the most growth. As a lead-up to the second major addition to the Silver Relics catalog, “Tails” is quite a strong first single to hype up the rest of the project. The track showcases the band’s intriguing use of electronic/bass music for world-building and atmospheric tones, as well as highlighting their superb guitar riffs that just ooze classic rock vibes. If you haven’t experience Silver Relics before, “Tails” is the perfect jumping-on point for you as a fan to watch as Silver Relics grows into the global force they need to be. Thanks to creatively-driven projects like Silver Relics, we think that we’ve been fully convinced to dive deeper into the psych-rock world.
