Prepare Yourselves For A Sonic Journey, juuku Drops New EP “Lavender Dreams & Scarlet Nightmares” on Dim Mak

Frankly put, there are few albums we’ve been this hype for in 2023 so far. On our latest visit over to Dim Mak we are checking out Lavender Dreams & Scarlet Nightmares, the debut EP for Dim Mak by juuku. Artists like juuku are in a unique position and are quickly making waves and catching the attention of tastemakers in the electronic music industry. juuku has been quietly cultivating a community with their recent singles, each catching the eye of more and more music fans on a global scale. If there is anything good that has come out of the last two years, it is that artists like juuku enhanced their sound design game and are now able to create beautiful audible experiences for listeners who are willing to take the plunge.

“Lavender Dreams and Scarlet Nightmares is my gateway to the two different sides of juuku. I have synesthesia, which means I see colors when I listen to music. Anytime I make music – it’s usually in the tone of red (scarlet) or purple (lavender). For my art, and the universe I’ve been building with it, the lavender side represents the beautiful, wondrous atmospheric side of juuku, while the scarlet side represents the darker, chaotic worlds that I create. This EP is my first foray into exploring both sides of this universe, across multiple genres, trying to find myself in different parts of these worlds, so that I could share it with you.” – juuku

Electronic music is a genre that has seen a lot of innovation and experimentation over the years, and Juuku’s debut EP, “Lavender Dreams & Scarlet Nightmares,” is a prime example. ne of the standout features of the EP is its ability to blend different genres seamlessly. Tracks like “Lavender,” “Without U,” and “Moonlight” are dreamy and smooth, incorporating elements of ambient and future bass music. Meanwhile, “No Turning Back” and “Lock Up” feature heavier beats and more intense production, showing off Juuku’s ability to create hype-inducing electronic music. The EP also features an impressive lineup of collaborators, including Namelle, NEWYON, holywatr, Gianni Taylor, and a collaboration with S.S.O.S. These collaborations add to the diversity of the EP and showcase Juuku’s ability to work with a range of artists and styles. If you’re a fan of electronic music or just looking for some new music to explore, be sure to dive headfirst into the world of Lavender Dreams & Scarlet Nightmares.
