Powerhouses R3HAB & GATTÜSO Launch Spotify’s “mint singles” With “Creep” Radiohead Cover
When you have an opportunity to launch a new major element on a well-used platform, you have to grab that opportunity by the horns and run with it. Today we are excited to announce “Creep”, a brand new collaboration between R3HAB and GATTÜSO as well as the first track for Spotify’s new “mint singles”! Since his adventure began, R3HAB has toured some of the best clubs in the world and amassed more than 300 million streams of his debut album. What is actually amazing however is that R3HAB was able to accomplish this with no major label backing, only working through his CYB3RPVNK imprint. Through his expanded efforts to increase CYB3RPVNK’s roster, R3HAB has been recruiting a fantastic variety of up and comers to provide a major range of music to his audience.
Even though we cover R3HAB all of the time here on Modern Neon, he can’t take all of the credit. GATTÜSO graces us with his presence on “Creep”, continuing riding the wave of success he’s recently been experiencing. Just coming onto the scene a mere two summers ago back in 2018, GATTÜSO has already accomplished more than plenty of more seasoned producers. Already breaking into Billboard’s Top 10 on two separate releases, GATTÜSO has now dropped new tracks on international labels such as Enhanced Music, Armada Music, R3HAB’s CYB3RPVNK, and his own T&T Records. With GATTÜSO’s remix of “Flames” lighting his 2020 launchpad, GATTÜSO better take advantage of the momentum to crush this abysmal year.
While we are almost to the point of being bored with remakes of classic 90s tracks, the producing talent behind this new version is too good not to like. A brand new look on Radiohead’s alternative rock classic, “Creep” is a fantastic canvas for R3HAB and GATTÜSO to blend their styles and reskin the classic for the modern age. While this version of “Creep” opens with a beautiful vocal intro and a minimalist bass approach, the track quickly opens up to be the next big room house banger to keep us vibing while hanging out in lockdown/isolation. “Creep” is the first track to kick off Spotify’s newest “mint singles” playlist, a spin-off of both the “mint” and “Spotify singles” selections. A major drop for everyone involved, we at Modern Neon hope that the masses will love the track as much as we do.
