Plenty of Teasing Later, Valentino Drops New “House Party” EP Over On Mad Decent
After plenty of teasing with off the wall tracks and unique sounds, we are finally ready to watch the next step in this artist’s career. On this adventure, our next stop is Mad Decent for the brand new Valentino Khan EP House Party. Bursting onto the scene in 2014, Khan received almost immediate success with his first “In Khan We Trust” EP after being released on Skrillex’s OWSLA label. Khan quickly entranced listeners with his blend of hardstyle, trap, and heavy house that even led to his original track “Deep Down Low” being one of the most played track in 2015. While four years have passed, Khan has easily honed his skills as a remix master and we can’t see what he does next.
“I set out to make an EP with a simple concept: great house music. Even though it’s been the backbone of dance music, I still have always looked to drive the sound forward. I wanted you to be able to listen to the music anywhere – driving in the car, in your bedroom, at the club or played out at a festival. I also wanted to bring in some collaborators that I felt have always been pushing boundaries in Diplo, Wuki & Chris Lorenzo. So here’s my ‘House Party‘ EP. This brand new House Party EP is a solid six-track release, featuring three new tracks beyond the three tracks “Pony”, “JustYourSoul”, and “Better” that have already been teased. The entire EP is an intriguing of modern sounds mixed in with the perfect amount of nostalgic beats for a supreme performance that is solid out of club speakers or streamed through headphones. The sultry classic house beats that litter themselves throughout the EP support the Khan’s journey through the different genres, almost guaranteeing a dancefloor that has been set ablaze by the time this EP has finished. Out of the three newest tracks, we prefer “Flip the Switch”, as the bass-heavy style serves as a fantastic precursor for the rest of the EP.
