NURKO Releases Debut Album ‘Solstice’ Featuring Kiesza, iann dior, Micah Martin and More – Out Now, Paired with NURKO’s Thrive Together Mental Health Initiative
NURKO has steadily become one of melodic bass music’s defining artists, building a signature sound that blends cinematic production, soaring melodies, and emotional songwriting. Born and raised in New York, Jack Leech grew up in a musical family and developed his craft through classical training on drums and piano before breaking out in 2015 with early singles like “Goodbye” and “Your Embrace.” His rise accelerated through millions of streams on tracks such as “Let Me Go” and “Sunsets,” while his remix of Halsey’s “Without Me” introduced his music to an even wider audience, surpassing 50 million YouTube views.
Since then, NURKO has collaborated with some of electronic music’s biggest names, including ILLENIUM, Gryffin, Seven Lions, Said The Sky, Dabin, and Adventure Club. His Billboard-charting collaboration “Sideways” with ILLENIUM and Valerie Broussard became one of his biggest successes, while his acclaimed EPs Arrival, Discovery, and most recently UNITED have showcased his continued evolution as both a producer and songwriter. Along the way, he’s completed his first headlining tour, signed with Astralwerks, and cemented himself as one of the genre’s most respected and emotionally compelling artists.
“I made ‘Solstice‘ because I wanted to create something that felt bigger than just a collection of songs. This album came from a really personal place – the ups, the lows, the moments where you’re trying to find light again, and the people who help you get through it. A lot of my music has always lived in that emotional space: healing, heartbreak, hope, grief, resilience, and finding your way back to yourself. Over the years, fans have told me that these songs helped them through some of the hardest moments in their lives, and that’s something I don’t take lightly. That’s also why I wanted to launch the mental health initiative alongside this album. ‘Solstice‘ is about turning toward the light, and the initiative is a way to take the emotional connection people feel through the music and turn it into something real – community, awareness, resources, and support.
