Not Even Taking a Beat, CYB3RPVNK’s Enigmatic Cityzen Drops G-House “Planet Rock”
We are all citizens, and we shall unite underneath the thrivingly beautiful electric sky. Taking another stop at R3HAB‘s CYB3RPVNK, we are back in the world of minimalistic bass with Cityzen’s newest piece “Planet Rock”. Cityzen is definitely a peculiar project, as his affinity for the color red when paired with his unique glasses creates a rather odd image. We have already been treated to a bit of Cityzen’s style with their first few single “Sirius”, “Rave Tech Repeat”, and “Unicorns On a Rocket Launcher”. However, Cityzen’s drive to blend futuristic beats and classic underground sounds will only further cloud his image and style.
By the time the end of 2019 rolls around, we will have a complete soundtrack to score our next cyberpunk film with. Not even taking a beat after dropping “Who You Gonna Call” earlier this month, Cityzen wanted to add even more UK garage beats into the mix with “Planet Rock”. A solid blend of both UK Garage and G-House elements, Cityzen’s sound is quickly becoming a staple for new and current fans of electronic music. “Planet Rock” utilizes its driving bassline to seal in the underground feel, letting the groovy beats and vocal hooks take center stage and do the heavy lifting. If you are a fan of electronic music at all, Cityzen is a producer that must be on your radar.
