Miami Music Week 2021 May Be Gone, But Protocol’s “Protocol Vibes – Miami 2021” Is Still Here and Kicking
It’s that time of year again, where we take a beat in the Florida sun and soak up some positive vibes. On our latest visit over to Protocol, we were able to snag a sneak peek of the brand new Protocol Vibes – Miami 2021. While normally Protocol plays a major part during Miami Music Week, but for the second year in a row the amazing showcase fell victim to the effects of Covid-19. However, with how resilient Protocol is as a label, they have decided to push forward and continue their yearly showcase of talent. Protocol is easily known for being one of the leading imprints to support upcoming artists and have always had a strong presence within the Miami Music Week world. Hell, we’ve been covering Protocol’s involvement with Miami Music Week since all the way back in 2017! Now that is dedication if you ask us.
Although health concerns are making it incredibly difficult to actually touch down in Miami herself, the Protocol crew still has been plenty busy curating brand new music for you to enjoy. To fill in the void the label has released Protocol Vibes – Miami 2021, a brand new EP with five exclusive tracks carefully selected for the optimum Miami experience. While we may still be feeling those lack of festival feels, Protocol’s label boss himself Nicky Romero introduces the EP with his nostalgic big room singe “You Used To”. The nostalgia greases the wheels for the rest of the EP which includes music from Protocol mainstays such as: Trilane, Jordan Grace, Charlie Ray, as well as SOLR, Sisters Cap, and Mantrastic & Rechler. Protocol Vibes – Miami 2021 runs the gambit of house music available at Protocol, serving as plenty of evidence of why progressive house music thrives at Protocol Recordings.
