L.A. Indie Trio Polyglam Drop “Blue Heights”, Inspired by the Beauty of Young Love
Polyglam formed one summer when three acquaintances, house-sitting a music producer’s home, were brought together by fate. While handling tasks like feeding the dog and watering plants, they crossed paths in the home studio, sparking an immediate connection. As they spent lazy, sun-soaked days overlooking the Silverlake Reservoir, their diverse musical backgrounds melded into a dreamy, nostalgic sound that felt like a perfect summer romance. This creative energy blossomed into a full-fledged band, driven by their shared passion for music and the inspiration of their environment.
The trio, based in Mt. Washington, Los Angeles, is composed of Allie Stamler on lead vocals and strings, Rachel White on guitar and keys, and John Sinclair on bass, drums, and backing vocals. They handle every aspect of their music, from writing and producing to engineering and mixing, creating a sound that blends analog warmth with modern innovation. With a dynamic mix of influences from their backgrounds in projects like Role Models, Panic! At the Disco, and Weezer, Polyglam’s music is both intimate and expansive, capturing the essence of their unique journey.
LA indie trio Polyglam is preparing to release their new single “Blue Heights” on January 31. The track explores the fleeting yet intense nature of young love, where two people exist in their own universe, creating a powerful connection that fades by sunrise. With their dreamy, emotional sound, Polyglam captures the essence of love’s impermanence, making them a perfect fit for FLOOD, where their evocative storytelling and unique musical style could resonate deeply with listeners.
While focusing on their own music, Polyglam has also been busy collaborating with other artists. They’ve scored three campaigns for Sabrina Carpenter, wrote the original score for the short film Sis, and are producing a comedy album for Riki Lindhome’s upcoming solo record, featuring artists like Fred Armisen and Ken Marino. These diverse projects demonstrate the band’s broad creative range and establish them as a versatile force in both music and media.
