Joseph Keckler is a multifaceted performer whose work bridges music, theater, and storytelling, captivating audiences from intimate punk dives to NPR’s Tiny Desk and Lincoln Center. Renowned for his extraordinary voice, dark humor, and theatrical presence, he has carved out a unique place in both underground and mainstream arts scenes. In 2025, Keckler headlined a nine-show Australian tour, performed widely across the U.S., including at the Big Ears Festival, and premiered his new performance piece, A Good Night in the Trauma Garden, commissioned by The Metropolitan Museum of Art. He frequently tours solo or collaborates with artists like Lydia Lunch, and previously supported Sleater-Kinney on their national tour. Currently, he is finishing his debut album, poised to introduce his singular voice and theatrical vision to a broader audience through new music.
