So let me put this quite up front. Interstellar has to be one of my favorite films of the year. The main cast performed way beyond my expectations, and the supporting cast didn’t lack either. The visuals were absolutely stunning, making me feel as small as possible in the big picture, which is completely true. After watching the film, I did a little research on the science behind Interstellar. The mere fact that they have actual scientific findings behind the film explains plenty.

The biggest problem I had with Interstellar was actually Mcconaughey. He did a fantastic job, but I don’t feel that he was right for the film. He made the parts with his family overly sentimental and it wasn’t needed. Also the film was quite lengthy. I really enjoyed each individual aspect in the film to begin with, but there are a few moments that could be trimmed.

PROS:

  •  Cast Performances.
  • Visually Stunning.
  • Science!

CONS:

  •  Length.
  • Mcconaughey casting choice.
  • Overly sentimental in moments.

SCORE: 8.8 / 10
