Felix Cartal Drops “Mine”, New Breezy Single With Elegant Sophie Simmons

There are a handful of artists that we are genuinely excited every time they pop into our inbox, so we are incredibly excited for today’s coverage. Taking a minute to stop by Physical Presents, we were able to check out Felix Cartal‘s latest single “Mine” with Sophie Simmons. Felix has been busy, with multiple standalone productions with other producers including successful producer Kaskade. Felix will also be touring internationally so everyone will be able to see it sometime soon. Due to his most recent success, Felix has even garnered over 45 million streams over on his Spotify! Felix Cartal has been a consistent staple in the Modern Neon cycle, winning us over with his previous hits “Over It” and “Love Me“. Clearly, Felix, you are doing something right and we want to keep seeing Felix Cartal find success and grow as an artist.

“In ‘Mine‘ each verse is about a different kind of love. Verse 1 is about being sixteen, and your childhood, Verse 2 – a post-college adult and, The Bridge is a more mature adult looking back. We wanted it to be folk-ish in melody and in production to emphasize the focus on it being a narrative, really story-driven. Finally, the drop melody is Sophie singing a clean, sweet melody, and it being distorted kind of like what happens when one looks back on memories. We often remember them differently as time passes.” – Felix Cartal

We have been fans of Felix Cartal for what feels like years, so we are glad we officially have another track to add to our endless rotation. Felix won us over with his minimalist approach to production with “Mine” putting that style on a clear display. “Mine” is a great addition to Felix’s catalog of house music, letting the audience feel all levels of emotion Felix and Sophie mashed into this track. Relying on organic instrumentals, Felix carefully crafted “Mine” to be a breezy and light-hearted experience that listeners can easily vibe along too. Sophie Simmons’s vocal performance is utterly beautiful, fitting in easily among Felix’s production. Simply put, we need an album or EP with these two ASAP.
