Bass Producers YOOKIE and Hydraulix Join Forces For Trippy Dubstep Festival Banger “Game Over”
Alright, alright we’ve heard you, we’ve been spending too little of 2023 in the bass music world. On our latest visit to Wakaan we are checking out “Game Over”, the latest drop from YOOKIE and Hydraulix. Once we pull back the various layers of bass music and look at the more local communities inside, you truly have the chance to uncover gold. Hailing from New York, YOOKiE has quickly become a rising star and an act to watch in the bass music community. Being the first act to release their EP on Excison’s Subsidia label and other major drops, YOOKiE has been busy throughout the last two years. With a keen eye for production and the manipulation of sound, YOOKiE has caught the attention/collaborated with many well-known acts including Zed’s Dead, Slander, Sullivan King, NittiGritti, Wooli, Kompany, and Black Tiger Sex Machine! It doesn’t stop there, as YOOKiE is developing a global audience and has performed at major festivals including EDC Las Vegas, Lost Lands, Ever After Music Festival, and Bass Canyon!

While “Game Over” might be a new single for bass music fans who are only paying attention to new studio releases, those on the live circuit are already best friends with this track. Those who attended label boss Liquid Stranger’s BALANCE tour last summer already recognize “Game Over” as a certified festival banger, thanks to its consistency in Liquid Stranger’s live sets. However, for those who are just getting acquainted, YOOKIE and Hydraulix use “Game Over” as a bit of an experimental playground. While both producers are talented in their own right and known for different varients of dubstep, this track is a trippy interpretation of the dubstep fundamentals mashed together with deep perceptive synths. Yeah, this one is almost guaranteed to blow out your speakers as well as the minds of fellow bass heads.
