9 Years After Working with Hardwell, Wiwek Is Back on Revealed Recordings With His New Hard-Hitting Jungle Terror Single “Remedy”
Sometimes you just need to take an extended break from a label in order to hone your craft and explore other avenues, but Wiwek, 9 years might be a bit too long. On our latest visit to Revealed Recordings we are checking out “Remedy”, the latest drop from Wiwek. Wiwek is more than just a DJ; he’s a pioneering force in the electronic music landscape, carving out his own niche with the genre-defying sound of “jungle terror.” Through wild blends of electronic elements, tribal percussion, and raw energy, Wiwek crafts immersive sonic experiences that push boundaries and ignite dance floors. Collaborations with industry giants like Skrillex, the establishment of Maha Vana Records as a haven for creative expression, and the release of his debut album “Cycles” underscore his commitment to innovation. With projects like “The Free and Rebellious” EP, which served as the soundtrack to a cinematic journey in Bangkok, Wiwek’s influence transcends music, solidifying his status as a true rebel with a cause, poised to shape the future of electronic music in 2024 and beyond.
After a nine-year break, Dutch DJ and super-producer Wiwek is back on Hardwell’s Revealed Recordings with his new track, “Remedy.” Wiwek, known for creating the “jungle terror” genre, really brings the heat with this one. The track kicks off with a driving, minimal bassline and some catchy whistle effects, before ramping things up with layers of high-energy beats. The climax of “Remedy” has a touch of hardstyle, giving it a dark and intense vibe that’s perfect for the summer and beyond.
Wiwek’s last release on Revealed Recordings was “Chameleon,” a collaboration with Hardwell back in 2015. Fans might find his return a bit nostalgic, as “Remedy” brings back memories of the rave sound while also showcasing how much Wiwek’s style has evolved.
