With ADE Being Two Weeks Away, Romero’s Protocol Releases "Protocol Lab 2018" Part 1

If you have been following us for a year or so (or just an electronic fan in general), then you know what time it is! This is one of the many times throughout the year that Nicky Romero and his label Protocol Recordings have the chance to shine, as this week we are previewing part 1 of Protocol’s ADE 2018 Mix!  As we mentioned before, Romero is one of the modern producers to change and mold today’s electronic music scene how he sees fit. Not only has he founded one of the most prolific modern electronic music movements, he is constantly on DJ Mag’s Top 100 list year after year and has attributed heavily to the global spread of electronic music. We are glad to see that Romero is back in the producing chair, as the modern industry still needs a bit more of his influence.
Since one of the biggest dance parties of the year is only a mere two weeks away, it was the perfect time for Protocol to drop the first half of their Amsterdam Dance Event 2018 mix. To serve as the meat for Protocol Lab 2018 Part 1, the imprint showcases some of the finest work from their rosters such as FaderX, AYOR, Funkybeat & Steve Hartz, and Tim van Werd.  Protocol dives all over the map to showcase all facets of their movement, starting off with the beautiful uplifting music from FaderX which contrasts the hard club mix from AYOR following shortly after. That isn’t all, however, as we leave the modern club to go back in time with a bit of nu-disco from Funkybeat & Steve Hart. The EP closes out with a prime example of the best of progressive house that Protocol can offer with Tim van Werd’s “Break the Night”. We can’t wait to hear Part 2!
Make sure you check out Part 1 below and snag your tickets while you still can here.
