Travel to the Dark Side With Turkum’s "Feel My Love"

As long-time readers of this site will know, we love when we have the chance to be able to promote foreign newcomers to our relatively American and Chinese audiences. So keeping your workday filled with good vibes we have “Feel My Love”, the latest from Turkish producer Turkum. While Turkum is a relative newcomer to the modern scene, they have been able to craft a rather minimalist brand for themselves similar to the likes of Howwler. Turkum has been impressing fans and industry playmakers for quite a while now, making frequent on Spotify’s curated playlists and officially being signed to Elysian Records.

I wrote this song when I first arrived in Den Haag. The Idea started in Starbucks and I sat down for like 10 hours just working on it. This happened after I was told I couldn’t play at the club which I was supposed to in the Netherlands. I was very sad when I heard the news and felt betrayed but as time passed I just motivated myself to look up and work” – Turkum

The more we cover various independent releases, the more we come to discover that passion manifests itself in various ways. “Feel My Love” is a perfect showcase of how Turkum enjoys expressing his passion for electronic music on the darker end of the spectrum. Tukrum utilizes his skillset to create a dark and haunting atmosphere that entrances the listener with the first hook. The vocal loop sounds distorted and feels disconnected as if the singer is trapped within the confines of the track. Turkum finalizes this illusion with powerful percussion complemented by beautifully haunting piano chords.
