As the world turns, you find yourself at multiple crossroads in your career and what you choose will alter your path. On our latest visit to Dharma Worldwide we are checking out “Wanna See You Dance”. the latest from 2Awake. While this producing duo is still relatively new to the scene, members Jonny Chiappetta and Carlos Herrer are veterans to the electronic music space. With plenty of support from artists like KSHMR, Yves V, Klaas, Wolfpack, DJ Soda, and Sevenn, 2Awake has already wormed their songs into playlists and sets performed by DJs all around the world. Between both members, 2Awake has performed at major venues and festivals such as Tomorrowland, Ultra Europe, ADE, and many more.
We just want to put this out there right out of the gate, what a fantastic way to make your official debut. Dropping their debut single “Wanna See You Dance” on KSHMR’s Dharma Worldwide, 2Awake aims to make a major splash and let the world know that this duo is ready to worm their way onto the airwaves. The track lets a deep bassline and overwhelmingly groovy melodies set the stage, prepping the listen for the track’s feel-good auto-tuned vocals to fully set all of the vibes in motion. Toeing the line between modern bass music with a sprinkling of nu-disco and major Daft Punk stylings, “Wanna See You Dance” could easily be the next dose of groovy modern disco that we’ve been looking for. We’re going to have to keep our eyes on 2Awake, because since this is just their official debut, we need more from them ASAP.
