Toronto Rock Band Harm & Ease Release Action-Packed Music Video For Banger Single “Cut Me Loose”
While we normally head to our neighbors up north for our weekly dose of indie pop, but this time we are visiting for something different. On our latest visit up to Toronto we are checking out “Cut Me Loose”, the latest single from Harm & Ease. Originally formed back in 2010, Harm & Ease consists of Rylan Whalen (Vocals), Danny Lopez (Guitar), John Goodblood (Bass/Guitar), and Alex Hamnett (Drums). The band cemented their lineup after trying out various iterations while in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Discovered by Multi-Platinum and JUNO Award-winning artist Gianni Luminati of Walk Off The Earth, Harm & Ease was set on a brand new path charting directly towards the stars. Luminati, who now manages Harm & Ease, recruited award-winning producer Tawgs Salter (Walk Off The Earth, Hunter Hayes, Washboard Union), and Tokyo Speirs (Walk Off The Earth, USS, Gabriela Bee) to help record the latest single at Golden Carrot Studios in Burlington, ON.
“A two minute and forty-five second action movie. That was the goal. This song rocks you like a punch in the face and the video follows suit, using the song to score an action-packed fight scene throughout one of Canada’s most iconic music venues,” – Harm & Ease
When we first saw Harm & Ease pop into our inbox, we weren’t exactly sure what we were getting ourselves into. However, we are definitely glad that we pushed play, and we know you should too! “Cut Me Loose” is an absolute headbanger of a track, combining modern rock elements with a classic almost hair metal rock sound that we have missed dearly. The track’s accompanying music video is stylized as a short film, following a wannabe action star as he traverses on a wild ride through one of Canada’s most iconic venues, all while having his rampage score by Harm & Ease. There is clearly a place for them in today’s landscape, as they have already gained the attention of fans worldwide, accumulating over 2.2 million views on TikTok for their “Cut Me Loose” acoustic performance in Trinity Bellwoods Park in Toronto. If you are at any level a rock fan, Harm & Ease and “Cut Me Loose” should already be on your playlist.
