THE TWO SIDES OF SUMMER: Blinders Releases New “Two Sides” EP
When it comes to making it big and successful in this music industry, you have to have an adaptable and continuously changing mindset. Nicky Romero and Protocol have taken this to heart, as we have seen in the past with rather unique acts coming out from the label. Today we have one of their newest artists signed on with the Protocol family, Blinders, who brought his latest EP Two Sides along with him. Blinders has been experimenting with his musical style for quite a while now, even gathering over a million plays for his previous release “Luminate”. Serving as his home label, Protocol has allowed Blinders plenty of creative freedom and will continue to do so.
Alright, we have doled out as much praise as we can for today, so let’s move onto this EP. Having coordinated this release in the height of summer, Blinders tries to showcase the two sides of summer with each track. The first track “Molly” is packed with feel good vibes, chill bass lines, and relaxing indie pop vocals (Thank you Cardiknox) and is the essence of chilling poolside and soaking up rays. Then we move onto the more guttural “Broken”, which is heavily influenced by electro and rock ‘n’ roll, and this serves as the dark/after hours raving throughout the night. While they are both drastically different, they are both complimentary and work together to for a solid Two Sides EP.
Make sure you give “Two Sides” a full listen below!
