When you have such a foothold on a label that you’re in their constant rotation, you know that you’ve cemented a spot for you to truly create. On our latest visit over to Protocol we are checking out “Outer Love”, the latest drop from Almero. While Almero is still rather new to the Protocol he has already been making waves within the Protocol community. Almero’s debut single “They Don’t Know” with CAMARDA was featured on the Protocol Grooves EP, as well as having a featured track on Protocol Lab – ADE 2020. He’s also dropped additional releases on Revealed Recordings and Universal, and has earned support from Hardwell, Sander van Doorn, and Nicky Romero to name a few. Almero continues to drop numerous fun dancefloor singles with Protocol, so we think that he may have finally found his home label.
When you hail from a region that literally has a genre with the country’s name in the title, you know that it’s going to worm its way into whatever style you choose. Even though we’ve been following Almero’s discography for a handful of releases now, he continues to tweak his formula and drag us back in every time. With “Outer Love” being the latest addition to Almero’s catalog, the track is yet another pure example of his ever-evolving style. Thriving in the world of deep progressive house, Almero uses soaring melodies and cinematic soundscapes to build out the sound of “Outer Love”, making it larger than life for the festival crowds. While the track is filled to the brim with emotional vocal samples and good vibes, the driving underground bassline serves as the backbone for this progressive house gem.
