Australian Producer ShockOne Drops “Run”, First Single/Music Video From Upcoming New Project

After taking quite the well-deserved break, we are glad that we have the chance to push this artist into the limelight once again. Our first dissection of the week comes from the every so popular Monstercat with “Run” from the Australian producer ShockOne.  Beginning his career all the way back in 2009, ShockOne immediately made his name known to the masses as one of the top rising bass producers in the industry. ShockOne’s “Chaos Theory”, released in 2012, has been his most significant hit yet, reaching silver and gold spots on electronic charts. “Chaos Theory” completely broke genre standards, but proved that there are no barriers for ShockOne’s creativity.

“I couldn’t be happier to join the Monstercat roster. It’s a brand known for pushing boundaries and a label releasing some of the most forward-thinking releases for my genre of music. It really is the perfect home for A Dark Machine and excited to have them work this record to every corner of the world alongside my long term home label Warner Music.” – ShockOne

We are calling it right now, ShockOne sounds like a slightly more modern version of Gesaffelstein and we so want it to be true. ShockOne paints a pretty clear picture right out of the gate of what you should expect from the track, showcasing both of the tracks electronic and heavy metal influences. The track’s cinematic and atmospheric beats craft quite the experience for listeners and viewers, as the track is accompanied by an equally twisted music video. The world that “Run” encompasses is just beginning, and the stage sure has been set for quite a monumental 2nd and 3rd act. Since “Run” is just the first tease of the brand new LP, keep your attention focused for A Dark Machine LP full release on August 1st.
