Singer/Songwriter Anna Shoemaker Drops “Change My Mind”, 3rd Tease of Upcoming Debut Album
.While many artists find bedroom pop to be their gateway into the professional music world, the further they grow as artists the more their sound matures. On our latest visit over to 1+ Records we are checking out “Change My Mind”, the latest single from Anna Shoemaker. Anna found her initial break into the music world via her own Soundcloud mashup of Kendrick Lamar’s “Bitch Don’t Kill My Vibe” and Chance the Rapper’s “Cocoa Butter Kisses”. Now with almost 900k streams online, the track caught the eye of fashion mogul Steve Madden, who recruited Anna to his label. While Anna received a dose of praise when she dropped her debut EP East Side in 2018, it wasn’t until her sophomore drop Everything is Embarrassing released earlier this year that she popped on our radar. Spending the rest of 2020 casually dropping various singles, we can’t wait to see where 2021 takes Anna’s career.

While we are suckers for bedroom pop, especially during the pandemic, we appreciate when a talented artist like Anna, moves past her original style as her sound matures. With this latest selection of new music, it is quickly becoming apparent that Anna is much more than what appears on the surface. “Change My Mind” is the latest in her multi-layered productions, pairing her witty songwriting with indie rock instrumentals to create a true song about the human experience. “Change My Mind” is actually the third single off of Anna’s upcoming debut album, which we should be seeing sometime in early 2022. With this more rounded and defined sound, we can’t wait to listen as Anna hit’s the ground running with her new album and truly introduces her mature sound to the rest of the world.
